EVERYTHING IS UNDER CONTROL
Moomsteatern, Olof Palmes plats 1, Nobeltorget Malmö
14 Mar, 2026 - 12 Apr, 2026
”Imagine being born, what a privilege”
Bengt wakes up one morning to find that he’s suddenly grown older.
It took him completely by surprise. How did this happen?
Bengt is a human being. And we are all Bengt. He works at Bengt Inc, surrounded by colleagues not so different from himself. But like all people, Bengt is a person with many layers. He has dreams and fears, strengths and problems, light and darkness. When Bengt suddenly gets fired by himself, he’s forced to regain control of his life, gather the scattered sides of himself, and try to find his place in existence.
”Everything was fine until I ran into myself”
In 2016, Moomsteatern created the short film Man Without Direction together with Johannes Stjärne Nilsson, known from the internationally acclaimed short film Music for One Apartment and Six Drummers and the feature film Sound of Noise. Man Without Direction drew inspiration from Dante’s The Divine Comedy and was a journey straight into the darkest corners of the human soul, lined with pitch-black humor. Since then, Moomsteatern has longed for a new collaboration with Johannes – in the spring of 2026, it will become a reality.
Allt är under kontroll (Everything is under control) is a dreamlike journey through searching, longing, hope, and doubt. With Bengt as our vessel, Moomsteatern continues to seek answers to the impossible questions about what it means to be human. It is a warm tribute to our curiosity and imagination, to our sense of belonging, to all we have in common and to the beauty of our differences. Because a careful examination shows that we all share the same diagnosis: Homo sapiens.

Please note that this performance is in Swedish.
Allt är under kontroll (Everything is under control) is created in collaboration with Skånes Dansteater, which contributes its outstanding dancer Emma Välimäki to this powerful and humorous multidisciplinary work of art.
Please note that the performance contains loud sounds, primarily in the form of emotionally evocative music; bright lights illuminating Bengt’s world; harmless theatrical smoke; and a generous dose of dark humour. We also wish to warn that the performance may include elements such as estate agents selling dreams, naked personal trainers, Death, and possibly a bear.
During the final week of performances – 8 to 12 April – we are offering audio description (in Swedish). When booking your tickets, please email our producer at ellen@moomsteatern.com to let us know that you would like to use the audio description service. You will then receive a reply with preparatory information, and we will be able to prepare our interpreter and technical equipment. We need to be informed at least one day in advance.
This is a short run with a limited number of performances, so please make sure to book early!
A warm welcome from
