About Spöket på Cantershus
A modern family buys an old castle to escape their old life in central Stockholm and start over. It turns out that the castle comes with lingering staff and more importantly a grumpy ghost. How will they co exist and will they be able to get along? The ghost wants to promptly rid the house of these intruders but they are determined to stay. The solution is a wonderful combination of magic and true feelings.
We invite the audience to a warm and bombastic experience, with a grand ensemble, mystical magic, music and humour that will tickle both the 10 year old, father and grandmother. Magical scenography, light and technology creates the haunted house and colourful characters in exciting scenery tells the popular story in our own way.
The script is a free adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s classic The Ghost of Canterville, with all roles specifically written for Moomsteatern’s ensemble and the guest actors. Our school performances will also allow middle school teachers in Skåne to give their students an exciting theatre experience with all the inclusivity perspectives that Moomsteatern embodies.
Book your tickets at kulturcentralen.nu
Tickets are available at kulturcentralen.nu and we offer discounted prices for children and groups of five people or more, so the whole family can come.
Moomsteatern take the safety and comfort of our audience very seriously, and will therefore not fill our auditorium to allow space between groups.
What is Moomsteatern’s strategy regarding Covid-19?
From december 1st all theatre performances and other indoor events with over 100 people will require the audience to show proof of vaccination. More information on this can be found at folkhalsomyndigheten.se. Moomsteatern sell less than 100 tickets per performance of Spöket på Canstershus and you will therefore not be required to show proof of vaccination during your visit. However we still need to be careful and we ask our audience to stay home if you have symptoms but have not had a negative Covid-test. Moomsteatern has around 150 seats in the auditorium, but will only release 100 tickets. As our audience continues to book tickets at Kulturcentralen, we will manually reserve empty seats between groups to create more space. When we have school performances we ensure that there are empty rows between the different classes.
